"I’ve built most of the furniture in my house. I want to get to the point where I’ve built everything. I built my couches; I built my table and chairs; I built my bed and all my bedroom furniture. There’s a couple of things on my deck that I didn’t make. Eventually I’ll get there. But I also built the house, so, you know, hey!"

DO YOU SEE WHY HE IS MY ULTIMATE LIFE-RUINER??? :((((((((((
I’d love for him to make a book on how he built his house (including how he learned all that)
The rumor that Misha Collins is bisexual is PENDING CONFIRMATION.
This rumor has many points of origin. The post referred to in Anon’s ask can be found here and lists Misha among openly gay or “gray area” sexuality actors.
We were unable to find publically documented evidence from a reliable source for Misha’s sexuality. We consider Misha himself to be the only reliable source on this topic, due to the very personal nature of sexual identity. It is impossible for an outside observer to label another person’s sexuality unless that person has explicitly specified a preferred identity. External or behavioral criteria is completely irrelevant.
Possible forms of documented evidence would include a serious interview with a legitimate news association, video of him seriously asserting bisexuality at a convention or somewhere else, or a serious twitter announcement. The operative word here is serious, since Misha is a notorious jokester.
Some of the speculation originates from fan knowledge of Vicki Vantoch’s book, The Threesome Handbook. Misha is Dr. Vantoch’s husband, and the book includes some information about their marital life, including a mutual girlfriend (tumblr user agentsex owns the book and has uploaded a few pictures of relevant sections). This obviously supports the idea that Misha is/has been polyamorous, but the book does not discuss Misha’s sexuality.
We do not consider interaction with other actors at conventions to be evidence of sexuality. Close proximity or physical affection can easily be the result of comfortable friendship and are impossible to definitively interpret from an audience perspective.
Given the lack of documented, reliable sources, we cannot confirm or debunk this rumor. Unless a public, documented, reliable source surfaces, we cannot describe Misha as bisexual (or heterosexual, pansexual, demisexual, etc), since we do not know how he describes himself. (As always, if we’re missing something on this topic, please let us know!)
- Regardless of his own sexuality, Misha is a vocal supporter of LGBTQIA+ rights. At the end of this article, he speaks favorably of Godstiel’s gay rights support. In this clip from NJCON 2013, he mentions that he has officiated gay weddings (at the 2:15 mark).
- No matter what Misha’s sexuality is, he is under no personal obligation to make a public announcement. He already shares a great deal of his personal life with fans, such as the cooking videos with his son.
- Further discussion of the politics of labeling other people’s sexualities is outside the purview of the (de)Bunker. We are only going to report what has or has not been said; we will not discuss opinions or hypotheses here. (We do all have personal blogs for that sort of thing; feel free to contact us there.)
- If any of the wording in this (or any of our) post(s) makes you uncomfortable, please let us know. We’re trying to help, not hurt!
Fucking thank you for this.
SIGNAL BOOST: PLEASE SEND SOME MISHA LOVE TO @CHICO6.
Per usual, we got some positive tweets about a SPN photoshoot including Misha and the same hateful people are spamming the network, this time the SPN publicist (Suzanne Gomez, @chico6), with messages about how Misha should NOT be included in the J2M photoshoot and if he is included he should stay away from J2 and be separate from them.
This is extremely rude and offensive.
Please take a second to tweet a positive message to @chico6. You can also tag @TheJimMichaels and @CW_SPN in your tweets.
Suzanne also uses this email firstname.lastname@example.org. Tell her we’d love some Jensen/Misha shots in addition to the J2 and J2M shots we know we’ll get. Don’t let the haters stop us from having nice things!
Reblogging this again because I’m pissed off at these people. Stop fucking hating on my favourite character, you assholes. Enjoy what you enjoy and pull your heads out your asses. Sorry for this commentary, but l2fucking respect others.
And if you look at the tweets you will see the Supernatural fandom acting like spoiled rotten brats, as usual.
This is unnaceptable, please go tweet your support @Chico6, and make clear how happy you are for J2M photos, especially cause Misha is included! :)
(And you can slip in a little request for a Dean/Cas one as well ;) )
WAH WAH THE SHOW IS ABOUT BROTHERS!! … Maybe it’s my absolutely rotten mood talking, but I genuinely hate those people.
it’s not your mood. Some people in the fandom act like absolute rotten brats it’s embarrassing.
That’s a very interesting topic because it’s one that really upsets a lot of people in one way or another. I probably shouldn’t talk about it - I shouldn’t talk about it. In fact, that should probably be the right answer. I shouldn’t talk about it. No comment? Plead the fifth?
There is clearly a very, very profound bond between the two. And I will leave it to you to read into that what you will, because I don’t want to be accused of queerbaiting or any of these other things that I am not doing.
Doing something like this, you have the opportunity to reach a lot of people, and that’s a really gratifying and lovely experience. You also have the opportunity to very easily piss off a lot of people. That can be lovely as well. But I sometimes have to resist the temptation to engage, like, “Hold on you fuckers, that’s not - “
I did a convention in Seattle. I don’t know what it was I said or what transpired, I don’t know what it was. But people got upset and I feel like it was really unfair, what was said.
First of all, I think the term “queerbaiting” is not accurate. It pissed me off, because I feel like a real champion of that community with all those letters [LGBTQA] - you know, I’ve officiated gay weddings. Also, I don’t know understand what the term means.
At the same time, it’s imbued with a lot of meaning in a lot of ways and there are a million different interpretations open. I hesitate to call it an artform, but it is one, especially when Ben [Edlund] is writing. It’s a lot of things. It’s deep and meaningful.
Is it love? Probably. What does that mean? It’s a million different things. At the very least, it’s a complex relationship. One of them is a celestial wavelength of intent, which is obviously a difficult kind of being to have a relationship with. “Yeah, you know, my boyfriend, he’s great, but he’s a celestial wavelength of intent. So a lot of times, when he sleeps over, I don’t know what’s going on. Because he’s there and then he’s not there and then he’s back again and then he’s in my head, literally in my head”
So yeah, it’s a very intense relationship. Let’s leave it at that. What is that? Am I a politician? They love each other, but it’s purely sexual.
Misha Collins on the relationship between Dean and Castiel, queerbaiting, LGBT+ rights, and the difficulties of dating angels
Like, i don’t care if you see yourself as a champion for the gay community, this is what it is, it is not your place to be pissed off about that or to define what is and isn’t queerbaiting.
So here’s what we know:
- A simple and to the point Destiel question was asked to Misha today.
- It was “Is Cas in love with Dean.”
- He responded with jokes about how it’s sexual, and dropped the “profound bond” term, and said they mean a lot to each other and the rest us up to us.
- There is a lot of wank about the question and answer. Fans saying they’re “ashamed” to be a part of a fandom who would ask such a disturbing question and fans telling those people how homophobic they are being.
- That same fan went to ask a question to Jensen about Dean’s sexuality.
- It was “Do you believe Dean is bisexual.”
- She was told she couldn’t because those questions made Jensen uncomfortable
- She was told her question to Misha was allowed because it’s Misha and it would not be allowed if it were Jensen because destiel questions make him uncomfortable.
- She was told this by a con worker and we do not know anything about if these orders came from Jensen or not.
Obviously, there’s a lot going on here. Something I think a lot of people are missing is causality. Under the cut for length. But SUPER important.
basically i think it’s cool that misha collins was critical of the misogyny in the fandom and the canon but that doesn’t negate his own misogyny nor should we put him on a pedestal for it when women have been saying this for ages (three names that come to mind are julie, gen, and sera gamble).
to the surprise of no one fandom still regularly treats those three like absolute shit so i’m pretty sure this has reached an amusing degree of irony and i’ll be over there microwaving popcorn.
And be angry about the fact that the last question of the panel was if someone could touch Misha’s butt. Seriously I am so angry about this I could give a shit less about the Dean/Cas question anymore.
DO NOT SEXUALLY HARASS THE ACTORS FOR CHRIST’S SAKE.
I can’t imagine like what it must be like being a feminist/woman working as a writer on Supernatural. I don’t envy what Sera Gamble had to endure.
After Misha’s latest cooking video some people have taken it upon themselves to locate his home in LA.
For the safety of his family please stop posting photos of his house from google maps and please stop posting his address.
Just because you’re not planning on using his information for unsavoury purposes doesn’t mean you’re not broadcasting it to people who could.
Are you people out of your FUCKING MINDS? YOU DO NOT TRACK SOMEONE DOWN JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE THE TOOLS TO DO SO. HAVE SOME FUCKING SELF CONTROL.
